My F250 Super Duty fuel gauge is stuck on empty.

After filling tank to full then running the fuel down quite a bit, then adding another quarter
tank gauge needle wouldn't budge, but now the gauge is wavering a bit, but still only in
empty area. I'm told I need a new fuel pump, but not sure about that. Also, came across
info that the in-tank sender might need to be replaced.

my 2006 F 250 Ford gas gauge read at a quarter of a tank when I filled it up and it stayed at a quarter of a tank after filling up I was confused as you are then my friends girlfriend told me this is what cracks me up she said disconnect the battery to reset the computer so that's what I did just now and my gas gauge work perfectly sometimes it's easy it's asking a chick
Have a 2002 F-250 V-10 had the same gas gauge problem. Disconnected the battery for a while and reconnected it and that solved the problem. I've found that sometimes works for other problems too.
My fuel gauge was not moving after a fill up so I tried what yukonto's girl friend said and disconnected my batteries, let it sit for about an hour, then reconnected both batteries. When I started my truck the fuel gauge reads full. Yukonto tell her thanks, it is rebooting the computer, I wouldn't have thought of it.
