94 F-250 Fuel Pump isssues

Asked by GBARK71 Dec 03, 2018 at 02:14 PM about the 1994 Ford F-250 2 Dr XLT Standard Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 94 F250 with the 5.8 engine. It up and died on me a week
ago right after I started it up. I thought it was the fuel pump. Nope!
not the fuel pump. The repair shop said that they are working fine.
They tested the fuses and relays too. They think it's a wiring issue
from the pumps forward.  It only has 138k on it. It had a complete
tune-up last year. And 2 new fuel pumps 2 and half years ago.
I'm about to run out of money for them to keep guessing what's
wrong with it.

Research a good technician who is good with electrical and be done with added costs. 1 hour tops for a good tech to diagnose wiring. Actually less but they will more than likely charge an hour labor.
