how much gas mileage does a 1997 ford f-350 4-door dually get?

you don't buy a truck like that for mileage- you buy it for how much it can tow- you will not see 25 in your wildest dreams10-12 city and if you are lucky, 15 highway- they were not built to be high fuel economy vehicles,
Granted Richard, they are not built with mileage in mind, but for rugged, heavy work. I got those numbers going by a friend who has a '98 F-350 and he claims he gets even less that that, about 12-13 hwy. But that is fully loaded, a welders truck actually weight somewhere in the 9,000lb range. The numbers I put up were for an unloaded truck, best case. Even then I might have been optimistic. And thanks for setting the record straight. I was premature and didn't say empty
I drive an '89 F-350 CC LB dually 7.5L i avg about 8-10 in town, 10-12 hwy
