Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I started the truck up put it in reverse pulled out of
the driveway then put it in Drive but it didn't engage
then I put it back in reverse and it didn't engage.
Now when I put it back in park the truck still rolls
like it's in neutral. The truck showed no signs of
transmission slipping or anything like that it just all
of a sudden did this what could be the problem?

Sounds like it is in the linkage to the trany. May be a shift cable that had broke. Just have to crawl under and look.

I check the linkage in the still hooked up and when they went through the gears it was moving the cable
I really don't think a trany can go bad that fast so look in the area where the cable hooks to the trany, make sure it is moving the rod that runs into the trany. If all looks good there you may have to drop the pan to see if you can see anything inside that may be loose or not working with the shift linkage.

Is a sealed transmission I think because I couldn't find a dipstick.
Then there would be a plug somewhere on the side. The level should be no more than 1/2 inch below the threads.
