Problems with my trailblazer

Asked by KNIGHTRIDER2017 Jul 15, 2017 at 08:53 AM about the 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer LT RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm having problems with my 2003 Chevy
Trailblazer. When I first get on to a
highway it feels as if it takes at least 2
minutes just to get up to 70 mph. Also
when I'm going up a hill or steep road my
speed drops really low and when I push
the accelerator down it feels like the gas
isn't flowing and it wants to cut out and go
dead on me. What could be wrong

Start simple first, if no check engine lights. Luckily being an 03' you have the external fuel filter, probably time to replace. Clean throttle body, will help big time, especially if never cleaned. Prior to cleaning throttle body, remove fuses # 10 and 28 under the hood. Replace when done.
