My 1990 Ford F-150

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1990 ford f-150 5.0.
It stopped running at a stop sign and we had come to the conclusion that we though it
was the solenoid connected to the fender. So, i replaced the solenoid and when i put
the key in the ignition all of the dash lights came on and i was hopeful. But as soon as
i went to turn the truck on the negative terminal sparked and it shorted out. Now i have
no power to anything.
Is this a starter issue?
Im at a dead end and i have no clue what is exactly wrong with it.

Yup - BlackPost. Parts stores have sold an awful lot of those relays (that almost never fail) because of a lack of battery maintenance.
