Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi everybody  I have a 90 ford f150
lariat xlt and we just recently
replaced the slave cylinder and
hydraulic clutch line. The problem
was in the first place a burned out
clutch. So everything is put back
together and the truck starts. There's
fluid in the Transmission and brake
fluid in the the reservoir, but truck
won't shift in gear any solutions.
Thanks so much in advance

ok- you said you replaced the clutch hydraulics- then you say you had a "burned out clutch"- did you replace the clutch? did you pull the tranny out? obviously, if you pulled the trans the linkage may not have been put back correctly- more info, please

Yes clutch was replaced and yes tranny was pulled out. Linkage is the problem could have been put on wrong. Thanks Jamnblues

03 f150 v6 , clutch r&r stuck in 1st, clutch working, I can drive it in first, when I removed it from the engine I had to turn tranny sideways to get it out and on the ground, shift linkage may have moved , idk but I have good access to linkage from inside the truck
