Just replaced transmission.

Asked by Sinko Miklo Jan 23, 2021 at 10:16 PM about the 1992 Ford F-150 S LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My transmission blew four months ago. I've got a
92 F150 5 speed. I finally replaced my trans and
drove home. I was just finishing the covering at the
bottom of my shifter and listening to music. I tried
to crank and it will stutter but not turn on. Sort of
sounds like a muffled automatic rapid fire. Ideas
ans suggestions? My mechanic friend is asleep
and I'm trying to figure this out.

So you get fast clicking? You might have a weak battery, especially if you were working on the car listening to music with the door opening draining it.
