Hi I have a 1992 ford f150 5.0 efi. I am having a issue with the truck always stays just above cold on the temperature gauge and the heater is blowing cold air. I have cleaned radiator and heater core

Also added new antifreeze and clean water after flushing. I am curious if this could be the temperature sensoror a thermostat iissue. Thank you so much.

Thermostat could be stuck open. Locate the two raditor hoses going to the firewall of engine compartment. With engine warm feel theses hoses --- Is one hot and the other not? If so stopped up heater core. Is both hot? Blend door issue under dash. Is neither hot or just luke warm? Possibly stuck open thermostat.

Thanks dandyoun I'm going to try changing thermostat and hopefully that does the trick. It would be a very nice thing to have some heat with winter approaching. Thanks again

@aarona74 what was your final fix to your issues? I currently have a 92 5.0 F150 with 107k miles, had since 74k miles. It will blow cold air more times than hot but sometimes during acceleration i can get some hot air blowing but chances are will end and go back cold. Have not looking into it a whole lot just yet.
