Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I got a 1993 f150 with autp with
overdrive tranny of course dipstick
broke and no one has pne rigged one
up after. I put transmission fluid in
truck backed out of garage fine down
the driveway and up the road fine.
Came home for a bit went to drive to
the store and wont go into gear as if
low of fluid took a minute so added a
little bit still same thing, kept repeati
till I said somethings gotta be wrong
(5quarts) had torque converter out
didnt drop or nothing pretty dry.
Rigged my dipstick to wotk and way
over filled. Drained and refilled
correctly now it wont go into gear.
Tranny is all hooked up correctly
same as motor. What is going on?

Overfilling the tranny can cause damage. Need to have a professional look at it now.
