93 F150 5.0l 4x4 runs poorly when hot outside

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello all,
Longtime reader first time poster. I'm at a loss. My 93 F150
runs pretty good during cool weather, but when it gets hot
outside it has a very noticeable loss of power both at
highway speeds (will not maintain speed even at the
slightest of incline) and when taking off from a stoplight.

Has a freshly rebuilt (professionally done) E40d trans.
Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and fuel filter are less than a  year
old. I haven't had this particular truck very long, but it has a
mass air flow sensor not sure if there was a conversion
done, cali truck, or maybe just late 93? Anyway changed out
the MAF sensor and it did nothing.

Sorry for the long post, but looking for ideas. TIA.
