why does my 93 f150 not start after getting warm?

i have a 1993 f150 351 V8, 30,XXX miles. the truck was sitting for a good bit
of time before I got it. Ive replaced fuel tanks, oil, fuel and oil filters.. the truck
starts right up first crank after it sits for a few hours. but as soon as you shut it
off, no matter if you drive 2 minutes, or 5 hours. it wont start again, just
cranks, but wont turn over. batterys good, not sure what it could be. does
anybody have any clue?

Check the basics. you are losing either spark or fuel. Check fuel pressure, injector pulse and spark. My money would be on a bad TFI module on the side of the distributor. That module may also be on the left inner fender near the hood hinge.

Jeff is right about the TFI modules as they are high fail and act just like that when they go bad. But this old I would also replace the distributor pickup coil in side the distributor at the same time.

Purge the fuel rail off the shrader valve with a piece of hose into a bottle next time it won't start ( get creative & don't start any fires ). If it fires right up replace the fuel pressure regulator
