1994 Ford F150. What do you think it needs?

Asked by Rudyat Jul 13, 2016 at 11:53 AM about the 1994 Ford F-150 XLT LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I go to start it, the key just turns smoothly, not engaging, and the truck
won't start.  I finally got it started after many tries when I pulled and held the
gear shift past Park.  I'm a single older woman that does not want to get
ripped off and would like to have at least an idea of what I'm looking at.

Sounds like ur safety neutral switch needs to be adjusted or replaced. Next time try to start it in neutral instead of parking just place ur emergency brake on to keep it from moving. If u have to move shift lever back and forth to get it to start, replace neutral safety switch
