Chirping noise

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My f150 is making a bad chirping noise (sounds
like a nest of birds under the hood) I changed the
belt last week and checked the pulleys and they all
seem good. I think my distributer might be bad but
I'm not sure. What should I do? The chirping noise
is getting really annoying and it get faster when I
accelerate.

Minor belt alignment issues chips like the birds are nested under the hood call around, locate a shop with modern equipment (laser alignment tool) for checking the serpentine belt..Regards "GATES" offers this tool these can be purchased..approx $110
Sounds like a bad lifter. Needle bearings in the roller lifter fails and the roller stops turning and starts to rub into the can lobe causing the noise
