I just put a transmission in a 2002 Chevy
Avalanche when I tried starting won't start I think it
has to do with not elineing the gear shifter what
should I do?

If you think its the linkage I'd start there. Make sure everything is assembled correctly and all electrical hookups are in place. Consult a shop manual, online, or the one in your hand, and see what the proper procedure is for adjusting the linkage, if any. I hate to suggest the obvious, but the battery is fully charged and connected, right??
