Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my truck does not want to accelerate if you give it gas at steady speeds, but if you floor it the truck will take off with no problem. it runs fine and idles fine when cold, it only acts up when the engine gets to temp. the engine will also idle erratically at idle speed. i have already replaced the throttle position sensor, the idle air control sensor, and the egr valve sensor, and i checked both fuel pumps and still can not figure this problem out. any ideas?

a smog device known as the EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) these geniouses thought why not introduce exhaust gas back into the combustion under certain conditions...upon decelleration, and when the computer's trying to bring the combustion temperature down too...only yours is all gummed up with exhaust debris...pull it off, like two bolts an electrical/vacuum connection and rinse with paint thinner or gumout, or brake cleaner to make sure it's not hangin up...or buy a new one...will come with new gaskets-
