Transfer Case or Transmission?

Asked by Achyness Aug 06, 2018 at 03:09 PM about the 1995 Ford F-150 XLT 4WD LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just bought a 95 F150 and yesterday on my way
home it just revved up and I no longer had any
throttle. I've gone through all of the gears, 4hi and
4low, and nothing. Hear a small grinding noise
going from park to reverse, but no power. I
replaced the speed sensor and harness mounted
on the rear differential, and had flawless shifting
before it went last night.

Update, I went to check the driveshaft out. When I turn the car on, the driveshaft starts spinning and there's a knocking noise by the rear end.
