My wife has a 2002 Chevy Blazer that is coding for a MAF sensor. What impact does this part have on the running of the car? Can it fail and cause the car not to run? Thanks and Happy Holidays to all.

Question type: General

MAF sensor code on 2002 Chevy Blazer. Car runs fine since I changed the
fuel pump. Check engine light went out after the work was completed, but now
has come back on. Do I need to change the MAF sensor, or is it unimportant?

By the part on eBay for $20, replace it with a screwdriver in five minutes and don't make a big deal out of this easy fix

I don't use ebay, after having been cheated on ebay. Clearly, you do not know the answer. Hopefully, someone with an actual answer will respond.
