1997 Ford F 150 4.2 V6 Wont Start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1997 Ford F 150. It wont start.
Recently I had some back firing. It was acting sluggish. I noticed I was low on
oil. In attempts to putting oil in I seen a creamy brownish material on the
bottom of the oil fill cap. Also I'd been losing water. So i change both caps.
One to the oil filler. One to the coolant tank. Going off the assumption that
some how water was evaporating and becoming steam under the hood. I also
assume that the oil cap rubber seal was messed up and moisture was getting
in there. No water in oil when I check the dipstick.
So, automatically, no more back firing. No more sluggish performance. Truck
sounded better. I got into the emergency room yesterday. I came out. The
truck will turn and turn over, but will not start.
The battery is 2 weeks old.
Today I changed the coil pack. the spark plugs. the crankshaft sensor.
still....will not start. i checked the fuel pump relay. I checked all the relays and
fuses. all are good. I can hear the fuel pump whining so to say. Just not sure
whats going on. Could anyone help please??? whats wrong with my truck?
