I have a very nice and clean 4.3 vortec from a 2001 Chevy blazer 4wd. Engine was running strong last week, started to develop a small nock and was throwing P0300 random misfire code. I replaced the distributor cap and rotor and codes and check engine light went away. As I was driving home at about 65mph my check engine light came back on. I was curious to see if maybe it was speed related and sure enough at 80mph I threw a rod right through the oil pan. Can anybody try and explain how this happend, I had just got back from a small trip to NJ while driving g highway speeds for 6hours non stop without any issues.

Any possibility of you selling th drive shaft if you still have it?
