On my 97 ford 4x4 the driver window is
stuck down and I’m trying to change
regulator and motor. How do I release
regulator in order to get window out of
track.

On many fords the regulator is held in by rivets. You will have to either drill out the rivets or use a punch to get them loose. When replacing, use small pan head screws, just big enough to fit the hold and as short as possible. Install nut and lock washer from the front side (the nut should be facing you when tightened.
