Over heating

I have a ford f150 1998 and it shows that it heats
up when the AC is on and when I turn it off it cools
back down already checked coolant and water
pump is good water flow is good to what could be
wrong

Would make sure your engine fan is coming on and that the condenser does not have a bunch of debris clogging the fins. If all that checks out your compressor may be hanging up causing a bunch of extra load on the engine. Good Luck!
