Is spending the xtra money to buy a factory part worth it? Even with doing the labor ourselves?
Go with one with a warranty from NAPA, O'reilly's or advanced. They are way cheaper and with a warranty its worth the gamble.
Not for a 98 its not. Problem with a warranty tommy boy..
I'll answer this way. The striker which screws into the pillar of a door to keep it closed sells for about thirty bucks at a dealership. You can buy one on the internet for about eleven bucks. A relative recently retired from selling autos and managing a GM dealership. He has the best description yet for a dealership. - A dealership is an auto repair facility that sells new cars.
