when I try to start it . the dash goes awire than resets itself
like I said turn key the motor turns 1 inch in rotation
Sounds like either the battery is bad or the battery cables either at the battery or the started has a loose connection. The reason I asked about coolant is it almost sounds like the engine is hydrolocked. Check the battery and do not assume it is good.
this truck feeds my family. good work truck.not going to buy a truck that likes to go up in flames.
thanks had it ck. still pulling over 12 volts its only 9mths old.how would I take it out of lock
yes no difference. why is mr Rhodes on here . being a smart #%### taking up time air space.what a jerk.
Hydro lock is when a cylinder fills up with fuel or coolant. Since liquid is not compressible it will lock the engine if this occurs. This can be caused by a bad head gasket or a leaking fuel injector. You need to determine what the problem is before throwing parts and labor at it. I think it might be a good idea if you got the truck to a trusted mechanic. Mr. Rhodes is a smart ass 12 year old that posts nothing but garbage on here. I am working to get him removed.
It the gauges began bounding all over the place when the vehicle key is on, suspect a connection problem near the battery. Possibly a fuseable link. If there is one near the battery jiggle it a little while someone tries to start the vehicle. If it starts then there is corrosion underneath the weather seal. You'll have to replace the fuseable link.
