starting problems

Asked by hankster58 Apr 15, 2018 at 10:49 AM about the 1999 Ford F-150 XL Extended Cab Stepside SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My truck has a hard starting problem??  I have changed the fuel filter, cleaned the air idle motor, ( have high idle now). If I remove the air filter hose and spray in starting fluid it will start after 3 or 4 cranks and run fine.  As well it has a hesitation until it warms up a little then runs great??  It has a 4.2l  V-6  I would appreciate any help,  Thanks Robert
