I have a 2002 Chevy cavalier that is overheating but has no heat. I have put new heater core and thermostat in it still doing it any suggestions. It holds water just gets real hot.

Water pump possibly. If there is no flow there's no cooling.

It sounds like the engine coolant is air locked. You must bleed all of the air through a bleed screw if it has one or disconnect a heater hose with the engine off while filling through the rad. If there is no air in the motor then the pump may be shot.
