1999 ford f-150 problem

Asked by GuruKHS5X Dec 13, 2019 at 12:53 AM about the 1999 Ford F-150 XL 4WD Stepside SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

At first I would turn the key over and it would just
make a clunk noise as if it wasn’t getting enough
juice. So I went and checked the battery and it was
dead so I had it fully charged and put it back in.
And now when I turn it over it makes a new noise
as if the belt only turns in rotation one time. But it
just won’t start up. It sounds like the turning noise
of my pulleys but it’s just not doing anything else
besides making that noise one time and I can’t get
it to start. I had just bought that as a brand new
battery so it can’t be that. And I got my starter
checked and it was good and i’ve also recently put
in a new alternator. I don’t know what it is but it
won’t start. I really wanted to get it sold but I can’t
do that if I can’t even get it out of my driveway.

Will the vehicle start if you attempt to jump it off another vehicle?
