oil pumping out and blah blah blah anywho I
bought a 2011 5.4 l with 85,000 miles on it
and I'm ready to put the engine in after
swapping everything over but the oil pan is

The engine will not run with your 2000 ECU. You need all the wiring, smog stuff (cats and O2 sensors) and the ECU from the 2011 truck. MAYBE, Just MAYBE you can swap the old oil pan along with the oil pickup.

Why will the engine not run if I'm using everything off of the old engine except for the block and the heads
