roll bar pipes?

hey guys i am planning on building a roll bar for my f150 just for looks and maybe mount
some lights on it. i am wondering what some good designs are that dont take up bed
space. i want it to mount to the side of the bed not inside it. what size bar would look the
best. i was thinking of using some 3 inch pipe. heres what i was kind of thinking the
design will be. let me know, submit some pictures and tips please. thanks.

No pix just a tip. Check out manufacturer online catalogs. And sites like eBay.

What plans to you have for a finish? Know someone who had one made at a muffler shop, bent on the machine and had flanges welded onto each end where it attached to the top of the bed. Primed and painted to match the vehicle. Looks pretty good, but not functional as a roll bar.
