Bleeding brakes
Asked by DaBears54 Nov 10, 2018 at 10:47 AM about the 2002 Ford F-150 XLT Crew Cab 4WD SB
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I changed my master cylinder and calipers. I've
bleed the brakes over 10 times. Im getting brake
fluid stream coming out on all 4 wheels and no air.
Still have no brake pedal when i start the truck. Ive
checked the vacuum hose to my break booster its
working great. I dont no what else to do. What am i
missing? This is on a 2002 FX4 f150 4x4 5.4 liter.
Does it need to be electrically bleed?

Check for loose hub / wheel bearings if one or both are loose will cause brake pedal to go to floor.
I also changed all front brake lines cause i thought that was the problem.
When i changed the master cylinder, i blead the brakes. I had peddle for 3 days then it went out again. I bleed the brakes a handfull of times after, no peddle. Then replaced the calipers. Then blead the system out. No peddle. Then replaced front brake line then blead the system 4 more times and still no peddle.
Did you bench bleed the new master cylinder before installing?
