Door dings when open
2003 Ford F150 Lariat, driverside door (only) dings
when opened. No key in ignition nor anything on.
Passenger side acts normal (no noise/dinging).

How do I fix?
There's a little switch in the steering column that is pressed when you insert the key in the ignition lock cylinder. Sounds like it's stuck. Try spraying a little bit of WD-40 into the lock cylinder. If that doesn't fix it I would just live with it. You're looking at about two hours of labor to replace the switch. Not worth it in my opinion. Hope that helps! Jim

My F150 thinks that one of my rear doors is ajar even though it is securely closed. How can I reset this or what do I need to replace to make the truck recognize that the door is closed?
