2002 Chevy Impala shuts off while driving

Asked by dzawidski Jul 09, 2015 at 05:02 PM about the 2002 Chevrolet Impala FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2002 Chevy Impala has no check engine lights on but began turning off when I'm
driving. It starts perfectly every time but the second I take my foot off the gas it shuts
off. If I shift while keeping the engine revving I can drive as long as I stay about 35-40
mph and keep my foot on the gas. The second I start to break or coast under 40 mph
the car shuts off, all power steering etc shuts off and the battery light comes on.
Coming to a stop and restarting the car and it will restart with no problem every time.

Any suggestions or solutions would be appreciated.
