2003 f150 turns over but will not start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Have problems with starting my truck. Turns over OK and anti theft looks OK. Sometimes runs fine others nothing. I know its fuel related. Checked the cutoff switch under the passenger side and it's OK. Only other thing I can think of is it may be some fuel pump modulator above the spare tire. Anyway to check this. No code lights coming on fuse looks good. Don't believe its' the pump as sometimes it starts and runs great. Any suggestions would help.

another good thing to check is the fuel filter usually it could be a problem most times it will work or it wont with that if not try to look at a ignition problem
have your crank scensor replaced, sounds like it is going bad.
It is usually a good idea if you do not know how to fix it take it in for a diagnostic test. This will tell you what is required! It can be anything from a plugged fuel filter, sensors or wiring. Usually remote start for alarm. These systems require resetting at times can cost between $25-$100 depending on the dealership. If it is due for servicing see if they will take it in sooner, check online for recalls for the year of vehicle as well. If a recall is required for the fuel system they have to replace Do not attempt to work on your vehicle if you do not know anything about mechanics. You can cause a worse problem that may cost upwards of $1000 to fix plus they won't honor a warranty if the vehicle is tampered with. Hope this helps. Check with dealership, request a quote and know if there is a recall for this vehicle.
Won't start unless you pump the gas pedal
