If it's not a fuse or bulb, then you'll have to break out a multimeter and check for voltage and continuity with the harness. I'd check the bulb seat itself has proper voltage.

Which fuse do I check not sure manual doesn't say?

If dash lights are ok then it's not a fuse. Check the socket where bulb plugs in, i had that same issue on a 2005, ended up buying a socket from autozone to replace it

i put in a new light bulb in my 2006 f150 and thats not it , what use would it be.
