Cylinder 7 and 8 on a Ford V-8 are the back 2 on the driver's side. 1 thru 4 are on the passenger's side with number 1 being at the front. 5 thru 8 are on the driver's side with 5 at the front. Ford labels their cylinders differently than most other manufacturers.
