What is this part?

Asked by Guru5QQLC Jan 24, 2018 at 10:39 AM about the 2002 Chevrolet Malibu LS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car has been shuddering on mild days. Rpms drop or
stick and temp. Gauge drops and rises but never goes
passed half. Replace ignition coils but noticed this tube has
holes on either side. The tube is located at the back of my
engine directly below the ignition coils. Not sure what part
it is. See picture... does anyone know?

1 Answer

The tube is metal as far as I know. My issue is I have no idea what the part is called so I can replace it. I do not have a vode reader but trying to borrow one. The CEL does not stay on and also does not always come on.
