2004 ford f150 4.2.liter v6

Asked by Mandie Nov 16, 2018 at 04:12 PM about the 2004 Ford F-150 XL Ext. Cab

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When the weather gets cold outside my
truck doesn't want to run.  If u press the
gas down just a little it will go about 15 or
20 miles an hr but if u stomp the gas it
does nothing But back fire and spit an
spudder.  If u kill it for a minute and start it
back up it will run fine for 10 or 15 mins
then starts messing up again.  The truck
runs great when it's warm or hot outside.
Does anyone know what the problem
could be?

Throttle body gummed up? Was my issue on a 2002 Sienna. Sounded identical symptoms IAC gummed up also. Mine were connected. Cleaned both.
