I was driving my Ford home from work and when I
got home I opened my door and heard a rattling
sound...I opened the hood and it's not coming from
my engine area. But when I checked under it was
quite prominent...any suggestions?

The timing chain guides break off on those sometime. And the chain will slop around causing rattle in the front of the engine... and sometimes the catalic converters break apart inside and gives a rattleing noise in the lower end of the car and exhaust

Now my truck has started to have trouble speeding up when I push down the accelerator. I just got a whole new timing kit installed lats month.
