Suburban Repair

I have a 2002 Chevy Suburban that I put down about a year and a half ago when gas got outrageous. Now it will not shift when driving it. There were no issues with it prior to putting it down. Have I lost my transmission? Could it be a sensor? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If the 02 transmission is at all like the one in my 94, it does not like to sit. I set mine aside for about a year and had similar no shift issues. It seems the seals dried up and I ended up needing to rebuild it.
