2002 Suburban Door Chime not shutting off!!

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car runs fine all the time. Jumped in one morning and its dead. Jumped
and ran fine. Next day dead again. Noticed the door chime going off w/o
the key in the ignition.
Chime only shuts off after the brake pedal is pressed or when the key is
moved forward to start vehicle.. Replaced Brake Senor Light thing still no
good(senor on the brake pedal).
Any help? Greased all the door latches, pushed and release emergency
brake still no good.
Help! :(

I fixed it.Took the plastic off the console. There's a plastic spring loaded knob near the center of the ignition area. Wiggled the device till the sound shut off. Also, I cut one of the wires going to it. Suburban runs and drives great!!! No door chime.

Just wondering did your suburban die if you let it sit overnight
