No windows, no radio, no gauges, no interior lights
I've found several posts online but it seems like most got lucky and simply
replaced a fuse but I've had no luck.
As mentioned none of the above work. Turn signals on the cluster do work
and flash and so do the door locks work. I've turned on the AC and it works
but did not see if it blows cold. I have checked all fuses and swapped relays
but have had no luck. One other strange thing to note is when I turn the
key to the on position there is a high pitched noise almost like a beep
coming from either the dashboard or the engine firewall(difficult to tell) for
about 5 seconds. Hoping anyone out there can help as it has been a pain.
See if you can find what is making the high pitched noise. I wonder if it is a bad relay or something similar?
Update?: I removed the plastic trim to expose the wiring harness on the carpet that moves along the side to the back and noticed there was quite a bit of water and the wires were all wet. I began drying them with a vacuum and suddenly the beeping that alerts you a door is open began ringing and i immediately turned to the dash and believe to have seen the gauges illuminate right before everything suddenly turned off again. I'm not sure what to do now, I tried moving the wires and drying the rest but cannot get any response. Any advice will be highly appreciated
I traced mine to the instrument panel. the connector on the left top of the panel has a preload condition. because the wire harness is too tight. it is pulling the female side of the connector off the circuit board. as a short-term fix I used a zip tie to put constant pressure on the connector.
Hi, I've just come across this issue but it was self inflicted. I was changing out my interior overhead bulbs at night with just the interior lights switched on so I could see. From the drivers seat, the left was fine but the right was blown. I had bought a two pack of bulbs. The interior lights were on while I was changing them. The right bulb, I changed just fine. I should have just stopped there but I didn't know how old the left bulb was and figured I'd change that to. I couldn't see well, and was trying to get the left bulb out and as I was turning it, I heard an electrical pop, and the lights went off. The next morning, I looked at the circuits and wire connected to the bulbs and they did not look fried. They appear fine. However, as a consequence, I'm left with no power to my windows, overhead interior lights, radio, and the dash gauges no longer work. The dash, still displays my air bag yellow symbol, because the wires are disconnected under the drivers seat, it blinks then stays on. It displays blinkers and the night lights (green and red ambient lights to see the dashboard at night) come on at night, my break lights, blinkers, and head lights work fine. A.C. /heater blow fine. However, my check engine light no longer displays. I've check most of the fuses inside the truck, near the base of the passengers seat. I haven't seen any bad. I thought for sure I had just blown a fuse. If I take this into a dealer, any idea what costs? Has anyone solved this? Is there a single circuit which impacts all of these? I'd prefer to solve this myself, save the money. I'm not a mechanic but I'm capable. Any productive insight or suggestions would be appreciated
Guru996J1- what did you ever find was the problem? My 2007 F-150 is doing the same thing when I changed my bulb in the overhead area.
GuruBSNKQ Try replacing the Relay 02. Its goes to all accessories. Literally the exact same thing has happened to me, and I’m currently in the process of doing the same. Not sure if you can just swap them in order to test it.
Sounds like you blew the cluster fuse. In the manual it’s called the cluster keep alive fuse. It controls all of what you have listed. Might have blow fuse 24 too.
Us too any solution. 2008 f150 ford. Also bulb. Now no windows gauges etc... Fuses look good and replaced.
More than likely cluster fuse is bad I had the same problem and the guy said in the post above yours it was F 21 cluster fuse and it says cluster keep a lab in the manual that is it

Same thing happened to me....map light blew that same fuse and I lost all the gauges and radio. Just a fuse replacement.

I just experienced the same problem after changing my over head map lights. It was F21. Thank you all for the great input into these issues. If not for this forum, for sure I would have had to take this to a mechanic and at least paid $150.00 diagnostic for a blown fuse. Thank you again.
F21 cluster fuse resolved my exact issue after changing my overhead lights. Thank you!
