2005 ford f 150

Asked by Jace Jan 07, 2019 at 12:28 AM about the 2005 Ford F-150 FX4 Flareside 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 Ford f 150. Noticed my interior
lights above my rear view mirror had stopped
working. They seemed to get very hot. After a
few days past, I went to start my truck and
“click” wouldn’t start. Grabbed jumpers
started right up drove fine. Shut it off for a
second fired right back up. After letting it sit
for over a hour or so it would not fire back
up. Would need jumped again. Took battery
to auto zone tested. Battery is fine. They put
a charge on it. Put it back in the truck didn’t
have a problem for awhile. Started fine even
when sitting for a couple days. Then
eventually it all came back to not starting up
after a 8 hour shift at work. Has to be jumped
all the time!!

Check for parasitic drain on the battery. The net will show you how.
