Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was told i have to drive it 150 miles before i can

It’s not how far you drive, it’s how you drive. You can look up Ford drive cycle for more info and it will say something like drive a steady speed between 45 and 60 mph for 4 minutes without breaking. There will be 6 different driving behaviors for each of the things that could set off the check engine light. Then it may take two times of seeing the condition that set it off for it to come on.
