I have a 1992 ford f250 with a 7.5 460 and it takes off really slow in drive,but
when I drop it into 2nd it accelerates just fine.

Sounds like the truck is taking off in top gear.

How do i fix that? whenever I manually take off in 1st it works just fine as well

i have a1995 f350 automático when i put it on drive it gos real slow if i shift to second drives fine
