Registering a Montana truck in New York, will it pass emissions?

Asked by FordPowestrokeF250 Oct 20, 2019 at 11:10 PM about the 1999 Ford F-250 Super Duty XLT Extended Cab LB

Question type: General

Hello!

I'll be moving to New York in a few months with a 1997 F250 Powerstroke
7.3L.  The truck has no catalytic converter.

Will it be exempt from emissions?  Or do I have to add a catalytic converter
to it in order to pass in New York?

Thank you.

Check the NY DMV website. If it came from the factory with no cat it is (probably) OK.
