I have 1999 f250 the key will not start it. It has a new ignition switch and power goes to it, but the key will not not turn it far enough to the start position, got any answers?

I have checked most thing out and it is somewhere between the key and the ignition switch.

When you replaced the switch,did you replace the switch module? Sounds, like it may be bad not the switch.

No, but the switch will crank it over when you push it by hand to the start position. I think it has a tooth that broke off the plastic slide that goes to the ignition switch.

I know this is an old post but did you ever figure it out i have a 99 f250 doing the same thing
