My 2004 ford f250 heavy duty doesn't start.

My ford f250 heavy duty will not start at times.  For instance I can start in
morning but then it will not start in afternoon.  Yesterday it was a hot day and it
refused to start.  This morning my brother was able to start it.  It is not the
catalytic converter.  Brand new one on truck due to some lowlife stealing the
one that was there.
