Any noises? That doesn't sound good. I would stop driving it untill we figure this out. Can you jack up the back wheels? One at a time would work but both up would be better. Block the front wheels and leave the e-brake off. With the wheels up and the tranny in park turn a wheel by hand. The other wheel should rotate the opposite direction with very little friction and no noises. Hold one back wheel or lower one to the ground and turn the remaining wheel. The tire should move slightly untill the motion moves through the driveshaft to the transfercase. If the tire rotates and the driveshaft doesn't the differential is damaged. If the driveshaft turns the transfercase is damaged.
