2002 Trailblazer

Asked by Mandy Sep 14, 2018 at 11:38 PM about the 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer LT RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2002 Trailblazer. Just replaced
starter, starter relay, and ignition switch.
When I turn the key on the lights on the
dash, the radio, and the a.c. come on, but its
not starting the vehicle. Battery is brand new
as well. I am stumped can someone please
help me on what the next thing to check
would/could be?

There is a neutral safety swich on an auto trans or a clutch switch on std trans

first thing for a test is make sure its in park and take a length of thin jumper wire from 12 volt battery positive and touch it to the small terminal on the starter relay, it should crank over

I don't have a diagram but I don't think the computer controls the starter

You can barely touch the starter relay with a pair of pliers and it starts right up with no hesitation at all.
