I blew a plug in my truck guy
drilled a hole for a heater coil
I think he might have hit my
piston after we blew it out put
in another plug in a heater coil
drove 200 yd start smoking
real bad since then hard to
start rough idle smells like
gas smoke real bad and I I did
stuff it came back with a
bunch of error codes like the
map sensor the O2 sensor all
these other codes so I go
around and I fix them I don't
smoke as bad until I tow
something it'll smoke so is it
the Piston is it the ring or is it
just bad luck my O2 sensor is
bad I've tried I've changed a
lot of stuff but it keeps
coming back to the piston

Sounds like the threads for the spark plug hole on that cylinder are stripped. This is causing the cylinder to lose compression and not fire. If it can't be repaired with a Helicoil Kit you need to replace the head. Jim
Going to do a compression test on that cylinder would that make the oil smell like gas exhaust leak on the lead would that cause any wrong codes by the OBS
It could make the oil smell like gas because the cylinder isn't firing so the gas is not being burned like it should. A cylinder not firing will also set a trouble code in the computer and make the check engine light come on or possibly flash. Hope that helps! Jim
I did put helicoil in it should I try to put another one in it if so can I get the old one out it could be in wrong some how tks for advice
When I drive the truck and stop it idles like it wants to die I try not to drive .
Talk to your local auto repair shop about this. Or maybe you have a machine shop nearby. Unfortunately if the Helicoil doesn't work, the head will need to be replaced. There's really no way around it. Jim
